Engineering, Assurance, and Handover Support for Crossrail and LUCT

For over two years, SRC Infrastructure provided critical project engineering, assurance, and handover management services to Crossrail and London Underground Capital Transport (LUCT). Embedded within the LUCT team, SRC’s 12-member group played a pivotal role in ensuring that Crossrail assets met the stringent standards required by London Underground under their Safety Case.

The team was responsible for managing the handover of various infrastructure elements and stations, with expertise across multiple disciplines, including fire engineering, mechanical and electrical (M&E) systems, and more. These specialized roles were essential to the successful handover of assets and the completion of station works, ensuring they met operational safety and performance criteria.

Key responsibilities included managing stakeholder interfaces between Transport for London (TfL) and Crossrail, conducting verification and validation exercises, and supporting and leading the engineering assurance process. This collaborative effort ensured that all infrastructure handed over to London Underground adhered to the highest standards, facilitating a seamless transition for ongoing operation and maintenance.

Through their involvement, SRC contributed to the smooth delivery of Crossrail assets into London Underground’s network, reinforcing the integrity and safety of the infrastructure for future use.
