SRC Infrastructure completed a key project at Bristol Temple Meads Station, providing electrical design services in collaboration with Thales. Our extensive experience in delivering high-quality electrical design solutions, developed over 15 years of similar commissions, ensured the successful completion of this project. Our work was focused on delivering safe, compliant, and cost-effective designs that met both industry standards and Thales’ specific requirements
The project involved a comprehensive review and revision of electrical designs and surveys for the station. SRC’s approach to this project was based on a collaborative and methodical process to ensure the electrical systems were optimised for the unique requirements of Bristol Temple Meads, one of the UK’s oldest and most iconic railway stations.
SRC conducted an initial review of the existing design documentation, survey reports, and asset information. This allowed our engineers to fully understand the current infrastructure and identify any areas requiring attention or improvement. Our team planned and carried out the necessary surveys to collect accurate data on the station’s electrical systems. These surveys were critical in ensuring the subsequent design work was based on reliable and up-to-date information. SRC reviewed the client’s load monitoring reports and proceeded to develop the Form A Design, including power, electrical, and cable route designs.
Throughout the project, SRC maintained close collaboration with Thales, ensuring flexibility and consistency in delivery. Our approach brought together a team of highly skilled engineers with access to SRC’s vast solutions library, allowing us to draw on proven designs and processes that delivered both cost and time efficiencies.
